Moth

The moth is attracted to the light of fire, but the fire kills it.
It's not the heat, but the light that is seemingly irresistable.

Unable to resist the attraction of the light, the moth gradually gets so close to the fire and is finally burned to death.

Many times, we are the same, facing temptations.
We are attracted to things which will lead us to destruction unless we make a strong decision to live above temptations.

We have a choice.

Self respect demands discipline to live within certain boundaries, though you are free and unbound.

Self respect causes me to live life right.

Smile.

If we respect ourselves, other will too.

If we accept ourselves, others will too.

Arcade Basketball

Played this before?

Tried breaking the high score record?

Anyone out there with a 100% shooting accuracy?
Guess not.

Think we can agree by experience that if we want to score more, we need to have more attempts at the hoop with best effort at every shot.

Same thing for your dream.

Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you.
For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.

Clouds

An idiom goes

"Every cloud has a silver lining"

Note the word 'every', it does not mean 'one', it does not mean 'some' and it does not mean 'most'.

'Every' means 'every'! In whatever color, shape or variety.

In other words, there is a silver lining of hope even for the biggest, darkest, gloomiest cloud we can ever find!

Ever thought of the thing behind the cloud which causes the silver lining?
What is that thing to you?

Sun

With our eyes and perception, we see that the sun rises and the sun sets.

The different phases of the moon.

Flooding and ebbing of tides.

Daily occurances.

Has anything become so mundane for you and I that we have stopped loving and appreciating them?

Fresh

Ever seen freshly squeezed olive oil?

When it's fresh, it gives a fragrance, and helps to burn and lubricate. You can even use it for nutrition in cooking. Shepherds apply fresh olive oil on the heads of their sheep to drive the insects from bugging the sheep.

Ever seen olive oil that turned stale?

No more fragrance, but in fact, it carries a stench. No longer can it be used for burning nor lubricating. No reason for us to use rotten oil to cook! What about the sheep, lets see if the rotten and stale pungent olive oil can even not irritate the sheep!

Lets bring it closer to all our lives.

The vision you have, is it fresh and forward looking? Or is it stale and on it's way to deathbed?

The strengths you have, are they fresh to burn more? Or are they already burning out in hopelessness?

The ideas you have, are they fresh in making the edges smooth towards achieving teh goal? Or are they creating residues and more rough edges for you to cross?

The man within, are you fresh, to keep away irritants? Or have you become stale to be an irritant yourself?

The love you have, is it more exciting? Or has it become exhausting?

Choices are made by you and I.
Let's keep it fresh.
